At 4:00 a.m. on October 29, 2024, officers from Kanchanaburi City Police Station received a report that a car had lost control and crashed into houses, resulting in multiple deaths, at the Chuk Don curve, Ban Tai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Kanchanaburi Province. They therefore rushed to the area to investigate along with officers from the Pitak Kan Foundation.
The scene of the accident was a three-way intersection that the locals call Chuk Don Intersection. A white D-Max pickup truck was found in a bad condition, having crashed into a two-unit commercial building on the inbound side of Kanchanaburi. The force of the crash caused the building’s pillars to break off. An inspection of the vehicle revealed four passengers, three dead and one injured. Officers used road-cutting equipment to help remove the body and found that it was a man aged approximately 23 who was seriously injured. Officers rushed him to the hospital for treatment. The three other deceased were a man aged 30, a man aged approximately 33, and a transgender woman aged approximately 38.
Mr. One, the owner of the pickup truck that was about to stop at a red light, was hit by the pickup truck of the deceased group, causing damage to the left side of the car and breaking the mag wheels and flat tires, making it impossible to drive any further. He had to park his car a short distance from the scene of the accident. He said that at that time, he was driving back from the market to buy chicken carcasses to cook for his dogs at home. On the way, he was about to reach the Chuk Don intersection and was stopping at a red light when the white pickup truck of the deceased group drove up from behind at high speed and tried to squeeze through the intersection before hitting the front of his car, causing the damage mentioned above. He was very shocked by what happened.
However, the police will investigate the real cause of this accident in detail.
