Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivit, Deputy Minister of Finance, revealed that the meeting of the Economic Stimulus Committee chaired by Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, is expected to convene its first meeting soon. However, the Prime Minister will have to set the date and agenda for the meeting again.

As for the Ministry of Finance, it has prepared for several matters. The first is to proceed with the 10,000 baht transfer project via digital wallet, which may require the establishment of a new subcommittee to drive the project.

It is admitted that the 10,000 baht handout project, Phase 2, has not yet been concluded. In the past, the government has accelerated its fiscal policy quite a bit, so it may use appropriate stimulus measures. It will depend on how much money is available and how many people have registered. If it is at a level that can be done, the government will proceed at once.

However, if the number of people remaining still lacks a large budget to take care of, it will have to find money from other sources, which may affect the budget process. If so, there may be consideration of dividing the digital money handout project. It is another sub-phase, it may be phase 2 and phase 3.
